More than 3,000 Australians tragically lose their lives to suicide each year. The impact of suicide extends widely and can deeply affect the person’s family, friends and loved ones.

As part of our Mental Health Well-being Program supported by the Victorian Government, we took part in Lifeline’s Out Of The Shadows Walk 2023 on World Suicide Prevention Day on Sunday 10 September.

Nine members of the NORTH Link team came together to honour the memories of those lost to suicide and raised an incredible $5,642 to provide crisis support and suicide prevention services to save lives.

We commenced our 9km walk at 10 am in Bundoora along sections of the beautiful Darebin Creek Trail, which took around two hours to complete and finished at Alphington for a well-earned lunch!

Thank you to everyone who sponsored our walk. Lifeline continues to welcome donations and you can contribute by visiting their donation page here.
