A graduation ceremony was held on Saturday 27 May to celebrate the successful Women in Business Leadership training program, organised by NORTH Link and run by Leadership Victoria. For the second year in a row, this program sponsored 25 women leaders in Melbourne’s north to grow their leadership skills, confidence, resilience and strategies.

In a motivating graduation ceremony, attended by representatives from NORTH Link, local councils and sponsoring organisations, participants each presented their own pledge as to how they intend to use their newly acquired leadership skills to improve Melbourne’s north. Strong bonds have been formed with graduates joining an alumnus of women leaders supporting each other across the region.

This program was made possible through funding from the Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions and sponsorship from the City of Whittlesea, Hume City Council, Merri-bek City Council, Mitchell Shire Council, DPV Health, Kangan Institute and Melbourne Polytechnic.

Each year this sponsored program grows larger with NORTH Link organising to run it again in 2024. To discuss scholarship opportunities for women in your region or business, or to express your interest in applying for a scholarship place, please contact Rebecca Hudson at rebecca.hudson@latrobe.edu.au.
