Mindfulness for Workplace Wellbeing – Workshop Insights

On 13 March, a full house of professionals came together for the Mindfulness for Workplace Wellbeing workshop, highlighting the growing importance of mental wellbeing in today’s fast-paced and high-pressure work environments. Hosted by Melbourne’s North Food Group and Melbourne’s North Advanced Manufacturing Group, and proudly sponsored by Michaelona Flavours & Fragrances Pty Ltd, the session provided a practical and engaging space for attendees to pause, reflect and reset.

Designed for busy professionals across industries, the workshop focused on simple, evidence-based mindfulness techniques that can be applied immediately in the workplace. Participants were guided through strategies to improve focus, regulate emotions, and build resilience skills that are increasingly critical as businesses navigate constant change, operational pressures and workforce challenges.

The interactive nature of the session encouraged open discussion, with attendees sharing common challenges related to stress, burnout, and maintaining productivity. Through guided exercises and real-world examples, the workshop demonstrated how small, consistent practices can lead to meaningful improvements in both individual well-being and team performance.

Importantly, the session reinforced the connection between employee well-being and business success. By investing in mentally healthy workplaces, organisations can foster stronger engagement, improved decision-making, and a more positive workplace culture—ultimately driving sustainable productivity.

The overwhelming turnout is a clear signal that businesses are seeking practical, people-focused solutions to support their teams. As the conversation around workplace wellbeing continues to evolve, initiatives like this play a vital role in equipping professionals with the tools they need to thrive, both personally and professionally.

The workshop was facilitated by Suzanne Marambio, Quality Specialist (Ingredients & Services) at Bega. Suzanne is an experienced mindfulness facilitator with over 10 years of personal practice and extensive experience delivering workplace programs, including Bega’s BWell Mindfulness workshops, which received positive feedback from more than 145 participants. She is also the author of Journey from the Ego to the Heart Centre, a memoir on self‑mastery and conscious living.

The session concluded with ip-smacking delicacies served straight from the kitchen of the very popular That’s Amore Cheeserie in Thomastown.
