Designing and developing fit-for-purpose Assistive Technology Products (AT).  

This suite of learning resources is designed to empower you with a framework, provide valuable insights, practical advice, engaging activities, and a rich array of resources to support you in the collaborative and user-centred process of co-designing and developing assistive technology products. 

These resources were developed collaboratively with critical input and expertise captured from participants across the education, health and manufacturing sectors to build beneficial outcomes for care givers, health professionals, people requiring assistive products and manufacturers.

Module 1: Introduction to Assistive Technology in Australia

In this module, you’ll explore the dynamic and evolving assistive technology (AT) industry, its landscape within Australia, and gain an understanding of the AT development process that can enable you and your business the best chance of success.

Module 2: Need Identification & Research

This module explores needs identification and research, you’ll learn how to conduct a needs identification, who to collaborate with and typical questions and considerations for this phase to set you up for success.

Module 3: Proof of Concept – Design

Module 4: Product development and manufacturing
